The issue with having personal information, such as phone numbers out in the open forum is that we have liabilities that have to be addressed if that information is put out. We do have spammers who troll for info about members so that they can add them to their call lists. We have to worry about being the conduit if someone calls you based on a number you post on here, or if someone reverse searches the phone number and comes up with your home address. We have female members as well as male members here, and we have made it a policy for everyones personal safety and protection that we will not be a source for personal telephone numbers.

In the event that you do need to get your number to someone, you are free to do so through the pm system. Members can freely exchange phone numbers through that means, and if they don't have enough posts to do pm's, the mods will gladly forward the information for them.

Obviously, we would rather the world be such a place that we didn't have to do this, but to believe that would be a bit naive. We have had to make rules that make the best we can out of situations as they arise. We don't like to restrict communications if we can avoid doing so, but have had to tailor the rules as best we can.

This isn't an employment site, it's a site where we can share stories and opinions and keep in touch. If you're looking for a job, this isn't the place to do it. If you're here to talk with other truckers about just about anything else, this is the place to do it

I understand. No job hunting either at this trucker forum. Now i've heard it all about this site that's suppose to be for us Driver's. Since the phone is the easiest to use while driving 11 hour's per day im currently utilizing the other trucker forum's around this internet that truly bring trucker's together by phone for my/our Occupational Networking, Communication's, etc.

No, you can post that you are looking for work, as you already have. No one removed the post that you are looking for work. We merely removed the phone number you provided since that violates the rules, for reasons which have been explained. Any potential employer can contact you via pm, and you can exchange phone numbers or addresses, or wet sloppy kisses, if that is your preference. But for the safety of our members, public displaying of phone numbers is not allowed.

I'm pretty sure that if the main topic is listed as "Trucking Jobs" within the site, then it is, indeed, a place for those seeking employment....
