Bye bye Hangman. We don't tolerate members telling other members to KMA, let alone forum staff.

hey hangman163,where are you going to school at?,i went to drumright ok,the instructors are good, but jb itself is not,i drove for them for nine months, the s/// starts when you get on the road, none of the other drivers will talk to you except the newbies, you walk into a rruckstop with that brown shirt on and people just ignore you like you was deadly, but you will learn to get along by yourself for a while, and then you are just a lonely driver, good luck ,seeya.

Hangman has left the building, but not under his own power. He was escorted to the door.

J any body would have gotten banned over that. Even me.

I don't think we could have reasoned with him. He was fun while it lasted.

Here is what JB is going to do to him.
Assume the position buddy.

I know rules is rules...

I know rules is rules.

I actually worked at JB Hunt from 02/27/1992 to 06/15/1998.

My recollections of the place (specifically East Brunswick Nj) was a large terminal with several showers available and a 24 hr shop with hotels provided if your truck was down and a complimentary visit to the health club beside the hotel.

They treated me well for the most part because I hustled and didn't complain much. That said I was selected for several performance and safety awards and even worked in their safety department on occassion testing new upgrades and going over logbook violations with drivers.

I was considered a problem solver and worked with many struggling drivers on everything from backing to logging.

It was kinda funny back in the mid 90's when corporate (Lowell ar) decided to start their "50k" club and publish the names of the drivers that earned 50 thousand dollars the previous year. A select group of drivers (of which I was 1) actually were in the 60k+ club but we were never elevated into the spotlight due to being on a dedicated account.

I understand there are many horror stories from drivers from the big carriers but I have found in most cases the driver has actually made things tougher on himself through his attitude.

Given enough time, patience, and a good attitude a driver can make a name for himself at any company. With that respect comes better treatment all around and usually a consistently fat paycheck.

well said, jlk...

after all, life is what you make of it... and if you choose to make the best of a situation that others have had bad luck with, I say more power to you. If you remain dedicated and focused with a good attitude, I believe that good things will happen, and you are the proof of the exception to the rule.

Chances are, if most people in general say it was a bad experience, anyone with half a clue will shy away from it due to other's experiences.

But if you go in like our OP and just assume everything will be up to their expectations just simply because the rules of life don't apply (typical of youth today), then insult their wiser elders and peers when they try to stop a bad thing from happening, well... and if he can't take a little friendly advice from the forum members and staff, how's he going to react to his DM when he's crying that he's so far away from home and can't see his family tonight?

It takes SENSE to read thru the hype of CENTS. But some folks have no sense at all, and couldn't buy any even if they tried...

Best of luck to you, Hangman... don't be surprised when the situation blows up on you... the world doesn't owe you anything, so don't assume it will be any different for you.
