My only suggestion is to keep trying. Sooner or later, you're bound to find someone desperate enough to give you another chance. But four accidents would seem to indicate you might want to consider a different line of work. If your "minor incidents" had involved running over a kid, you might be in prison. But, don't lie about it because your employer is required to verify your prior trucking employment for the past ten years. I'm sure Stevens will be more than happy to tell them all about you.

The best thing to do is get a copy of your DAC it is free..See if they are listed on there. And if not...Don't Ask Don't Tell.. And with 4 preventables be thankful you had a job that long

God can I ever relate to that line of comments!! I pulled into our terminal this past week, had to blind into a spot that was going to leave me about 4 inches on each side. Was so tired I couldn't see straight. I know I got out of the truck about 10 times...before.. One of our female drivers come up and ask if I would be offended if she helped me.... I was like duh!!! Hell no!!! It still took about 10 minutes...it was tight guys. I actually had to pull straight out of the hole, to let her back out from behind the trailers, once I was set straight. Great thing about this lady. She had the fore thought to use the cell phone & headsets, to talk me back. Instead of simply waving me back. PRIDE is a nasty thing to have when things get tough.

That DAC is sometime inaccurate--kinda like a credit report--for some reason they don't put something good on em

| So what can be done to "fix" your DAC? Is there a period after so long something negitive falls off? or is it on forever? What if you want to dispute the info as not quite true or you have a slightly different story.

It takes like 7 years for things to fall off the DAC. Companys can say why you were terminated. All your accidents can be put on there by the company, and probibly will be. They can add the info to it at there leisure. But normally will report within 6 months of your termination date. NEVER abandon a truck. no company that uses DAC will EVER hire you, if you do. You can write an explanation for issues on your DAC. It is very limited on words, unless you live in California, in which case they let you write more. All this info is in these forums. Do a search.
