getting terminated

I was wondering if anyone who has been terminated from any major carrier if you went back to work for another carrier would you have a better chance of getting your application considered if you say left out the fact that your terminated. Or does it not really matter?

your former employer will be on your DAC most likely. esp the larger companies would report to DAC. I dont know if they can legally say why you left though. I know in non trucking industries they can only say if you were re hireable. You may want to get a free copy of your DAC and see what it says. If you go to another company and falcify your answers on your app it is a reason for termination in itself. Better to be honest.

FYI, it does say on your DAC under each employment history REASON FOR LEAVING:
You can order a copy of your DAC. Do a search on this forum for DAC. I have seen the address and phone number in several threads.

Yes they can ask if you was terminated.. They can not provide what you was terminated for.. Unless you sign a release.. (always read what you sign) Drug and Alcohol is pretty much standard..

Employers don't care if you were terminated.

They do care why you were terminated.

So long as you weren't terminated for murdering a dispatcher or manager, or leaving a load at the bottom of a lake or in a ditch, you're pretty much good to go.

Most trucking companies are so desperate for (slaves) they'd hire Osama Bin Laden if they could get him qualified.

Additionally, how is it that those backing incidents were non preventable?

I thought all backing incidents were preventable.
