Trucking JobsWhen The Wheels Aren't Turnin' You Aren't Earnin'. Discuss trucking jobs; NO ADVERTISING! Where would YOU like to work? What are you looking for as a professional trucker? Good Trucking Jobs
I have been looking at several web sites that list trucking jobs and apparently mistakenly thought that if a company like Frito Lay had a banner ad on the site that I would be applying to Frito Lay directly when I clicked the APPLY button on the page. Instead it appears that I sent all info necessary for identity theft to a recruiter (since they are the ones who call me). Is Bubba Junk all recruiters? If so how do I prevent identity theft??? Is it safe to apply through these type of web sites?

Myself, I won't use an application site. The apps from those sites (in my old life, anyway) go to the BOTTOM of the review pile. Except for places with high turnover. Yeah, that means you will probably be looking for a job again in a few months.
of course, you will probably be earning SOME money during that time frame, and you can use your copious free time to look for a better job, by gum.
My personal recommendation is to research the companies you are interested in, select a few to apply to, and apply directly. Most have secure web pages. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can usually print out an app and mail it in.
So- I'm sure some of these application spam sites are better than others, as far as getting you a job. But which one is best? Probably none.
If you put your information on a site and click *submit*, it's too late. Your info is available to whoever wrote the site. As far as I can tell, there is no set standard regarding security for these sites, so one can be utterly trustworthy, and the next might sell your information to 46 different porn sites.
Short of not using said sites, there's not a lot you can do to prevent any kind of misuse of your personal information. Typically, the very information you are most concerned about is that which is found in required fields.
As you may have gathered, I'm not a big fan of these shotgun application services. I'm biased. But I'm also right.
