on the road again(hopefuly)

I might be attempting the impossible, but I'm trying to get back into trucking after an 8 year absence. My life went down the toilet in 2000 because of drugs, and I ended up in prison for 7 years.
I'm taking my written test today, and my road test next Sat. That will be the easy part. I'm afraid the hard part will be to convince someone to give me a second chance with 3 felonies on my record.
I have over 30 years of safe driving experience before my downfall, and over 7 years of being clean and sober.
Any advise other than give up the idea would be greatly appreciated. I'm not one to give up easily.

I'm sure there's a company out there that will hire you on, especially as you have 30years of safe driving prior to getting sidetracked.

Which companies have you contacted?

Don't give up driver!

None yet. I just took and passed my written test today. I still need to take my road test next weekend. Once the CDL is in my hand I will begin looking. Thanks for the support.
