Well my driving record is pretty bad. In the last 3 years I have:

Speeding 60 in a 45 mph
Speeding 43 in a 25 mph
Improper lane change
60 day susp. for being under 21 years old and having 4 or 5 pts. on my license (Ga suspends your license for this).
120 day susp. for 3 major moving violations in 3 years.

Now the 2 speeding tickets and the 60 day susp. happened here in Ga when I lived here with a Ga license. The other ticket and susp. happend in Mo while I held a Mo CDL. I don't have any points on my license what so ever and I currently hold a Ga CDL B, but I'm afraid my MVR will keep me from getting a job. The 2 speeding tickets and the 1 susp. are 3 years old in sept. '08 so I wonder if they'll be an issue at all. So that leaves me with 1 susp. and a minor moving violation in the past 3 years. What I'm curious about is how these trucking companies look at you record, because my insurance company (State Farm) pulls my record and it shows absolutley nothing on my driving record. I had a friend in insurance run my record and it only showed 2 speeding and 1 minor with no suspensions and no accidents. My Ga MVR however shows everything. I wonder if I fib a little on the application they'll ever know? Sorry I kind of dragged this out but any input is appreciated.

DO THIS, GO TO THE DMV, GET A COPY OF YOUR RECORD. PUT ONLY WHAT IS ON YOUR DMV REPORT ON YPOUR APPS. I CANT TELL YOU IF THE MO. THING WILL CARRY WEIGHT.
I HAD A SPEEDING TICKET IN AL WHEN I LIVED IN FL THAT (COMBINED WITH MY OTHER OVER 15MPH IN FL) WOULD HAVE DISQUALIFIED ME FROM MOST CO'S BUT AL ONLY TOOK MY MONEY AND DIDN'T REPORT IT TO FL.
THE PROBLEMS I FORSEE YOU HAVING IS 1 DID MO REPORT IT TO GA. (SEEMS LIKE THEY DID)
AND 2 BECAUSE YOU HAD A CDL (EVEN A B) IS ALL OF WHAT I SAID NOT PERTINENT IN THIS SITUATION?? CHECK YOU'RE GA DMV RECORD FIRST AND GET BACK.

My 7 yr. Ga MVR shows everything I listed including the MO things. Now If I were to move back to Mo and change my license the Mo MVR would show only the Mo incidents because Ga doesn't transfer anything.

that all depends on the DAC i would think.

Any company would find it. You have to list every license you have had and what state you have had it in. Most companies run a record check in each state.

then yoyu just answered it yourself brother. you need to wait till sept, or be truthfull on app.

Not being truthful on an app can come back and bite you a lot harder tho...

How is it they check the record though? Like I said the MVR That I can get from the DMV shows all but whatever the insurance company uses doesn't show anything

They get a copy of your MVR from each state. Up at the top is says how long you hve been licensed in that state. It also says what state you were licensed in and the license number you had when you switched it over. When they check the state MVR you live in now that will lead them to the other state. At that point the will get and MVR for state number two. Therefore you are SOL. Go ahead and lie about it on the app. See how far that gets you.
