Just completed school, want to relocate. NEED ADVICE PLEASE.

Hi,

Hope someone can help. I'm completing my CDL training by the end of August. I live in Atlanta, GA. I want to relocate to Sacramento, CA. My questions are:

If I choose to leave the Atlanta area with no driving experience, just my CDL with Doubles, Triples and HazMat - will I be able to find work in California?

Or, since it will possibly (dunno for sure) be over 30 days since my completion of the course and receiving my CDL - no company will want to do the "driver training" with me and I will not find employment.

Your time and help is greatly appreciated.

Just a suggestion: Get on line and start looking for trucking companies in Sacto, then contact them BEFORE you move.

Find a job running from Ga to CA.. and just change where you live..
I'm trying to do that from Florida to Oregon. we have plans to move west and when I get west i will have a job. Then the only thing I will have to do is get a new license.
