I am new here- and I guess I would fall under this category as well.

I have 20+years in driving, and I am also finding it extremely difficult to find employment.

I am hoping some users may have some ideas on who to try to apply too.

So far, I have been shot down by JB Hunt, USA, Melton, Green Valley--its either not enoughe xperience, only team drivers, or my "careless accident" ticket, in which I bumped a lady's bumper going LESS than 4 mph--she recieved 3 tickets I recieved one, but putting "Careless driving" on my MVR is really doing damage.

Yea, we started a new site called: Good Trucking Jobs and hell we are having a hard time having these million dollar trucking companies pay $50 per MONTH! And these are people that make MILLIONS! This shows something to be sure. I know the economy is bad, BUT these companies are STUPID as well. I REFUSE to let them advertise for FREE as $50 per MONTH IS free! The trucking industry is so screwed up right now it is unreal. I wish you the best and we WILL keep trying to help. Also, we are going to have a new advertiser on here on Monday to help you with your DAC Report.

What are the marks on your DAC? Are we talking major infractions?

On my Dac report Melton says that I am not rehireable, but on my paper work they say that they will hire me back. They also says that I have 3 preventable accident/incidents. One I was side swipe by a car, the person in the car reported that they loss control because they were looking for a cell phone, and hit me. That person was fined with causing the accident.(On the company's accident report they say that this was not my fault and that this was unperventable)But Melton put that this was preventable on the DAC. Next is a Jack Knife with no load and no other vehicles were involved (we all know as trucks that this is not preventable). And on my last day they took the truck and claim that there was damaged to the truck. This was little things and I never got a chance to look at the truck or see pictures.None of these are on my MVR.(I have a good MVR)but Melton says that I'm unsafe on the DAC. Please help!!!!!!!!

Someone with a little more trucker education can probably help you more than I can but have you thought about looking into to one of those agencies who, for a fee, can help clean up your DAC... It is sad that a DAC can be so easily tainted by an unethical company and it takes an act of congress to prove your innocence. It's like a driver's credit rating.

Having rode though one while in the sleeper that was caused by the guy who was driving going to fast across an icy bridge during a hail storm. I have to disagree with you about empty jack knifes being unpreventable.
