| Hot Shot Co, ? Anyone have any info, on Hot Shot companys? Or know of any good one's out there? I'm thinking of getting into it and am looking for the pro's & con's of it. Thanks for any info.  |

| "Overdrive" magazine is only available by subscription or online but the July issue has a good article on hotshotting . Some do o.k. leased to a carrier but the most successful have their own authority and have worked up a good customer base . It takes quite a bit of money to get started and make it few the first few months . You'll have to wait 30 - 60 days to get paid for many loads . |

| Call your local trucking companies My cousin does hotshots. He just called the local trucking companies until he got lucky. They lease his truck from him and provide insurance. I dont know all the details, but just check your local trucking companies. I'm sure they will be more than happy to pay someone else for using their own vehicle than having to pay notes on another truck. My cousin doesnt do it with a big rig either. He has a Ford F-350 he pulls with and makes very good money. |
