Newbie with 2 questions First is of the three Crete,Covenant and Celedon which one is the best choice for getting the most miles/pay?i`m not too concerned with hometime, not that i don`t want to be home i just need the money. My second question has to do with something i was told by a recruiter for crete about prefered loads.....what the hell does that mean?

You have to have at least 3mo with a company before you can go to Celadon if you want to know more about them read other threads or just ask me

I have no experience with Covenant or Celadon, so Id suggest Crete. Make sure your school is approved by them by calling a recruiter. The only thing I can think of about preferred loads is you sometimes get a choice of 3 loads. The one you pick is your "preferred load". IDK really. Ask the recruiter to elaborate.

crete, schaffer, and sunflower, are all the same company. they used to require one year over the road experience, Im not sure if that is still true. I do hear they are a good company, but are very strict on driving records.

I'm the bald guy with the red and gray (mostly gray) beard that chatted with you in the Kansas City terminal yesterday. Currently spending the night at home (delivered about 5 miles away this afternoon, was almost out of hours, next pickup is about an hour or so south of here anytime tomorrow for Friday delivery in Carlisle, PA). Good luck with your trainer! Learn as much as you can from him. A good thread to read to learn about Crete is [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. . Yes, it's almost a year old, but still going strong. Evertruckerr is the guy who I put down as a referral when I hired on at Crete. I had been considering Crete for some time, but his thread is what finally convinced me. Make sure to read supersnackbar's posts too, to get the other side of the story ![]() It ain't all peaches-n-cream, but it's pretty solid; I like it here, and hope you do well.
