lol... sounds like my daughters... a younger woman told me awhile back that when a chick says "whateva" that means F*** you. Think that's what Knight means? Just kidding... I did look into them and they require 4-6 months and I am getting back in after 4 years off... so I am considered new. Thanks for the idea though... be safe.

Smile Things aren't much better back east !

Hi inthewinaz, I live 60 miles outside NYC and I can tell ya it ain't much better out here either! I left Maverick specialized about 3 months ago now, and have been appling to all local jobs around(even school bus co's) Only had to bites in that time, one was a moving company(lumper with a CDL lol!) and the other a motor coach charter co. I was with Prime for a couple of months back in Feb. Have ya applied with them? This week is looking-up though, went to FedEx grnd for an interview, and am going for a p-test and physical for a supermarket home delivery gig local today! The base pay isn't much, but you can make a "killing with tips" LOL! Anyway good luck to you, I feel your pain! I only have 4 1/2 months experience and none in the last 3 months. bug-out!

You're killing your own job chances by jumping around like that. You gotta find a place and stick there at least 6 months to a year. That may be why you're having trouble. Why did you quite Maverick? They're not a bad company from what I've read. No Prime thank you... have heard too much about them I don't like. Actually I think I am going with Crete hopefully. I am waiting on a couple of smaller regional companies, one doing line haul from NY to NJ that pays very well and with an option to go OTR with them in the near future if hired. Got their Applic. today... 80 pages! LOL You could check out the teamster job board as there are some local union jobs. You may have to work the dock PT for awhile. Good luck to you and drive safe.

Got two interviews this week from two small local companies I found on Craigslist. Both are OTR and both pay well. Crete turned me down, but you should give them a call. They are hiring from AZ. They told me I had a problem with my DAC... don't know why so am waiting for a copy to see.
