I drive through oshkosh WI alot and see people hauling military trucks from Oshkosh Truck. How does one get in to that? Never see anything advertised. Iimagine they pay pretty well being military. If anyone knows anything let me know.

texas an pa are the same way -
i have heard of guys siphoning the fuel out of the equipment when they haul it
-
Don't they realize they're just stealing from themselves?!?
Those drivers pulling this nonsense pay federal income tax. Portion of that tax goes to pay for that piece of equipment, AND the fuel that goes into it. Have to replace that STOLEN fuel when the vehicle is delivered. The Army/Marine unit taking delivery of that vehicle has to requisition for more money for Fiscal Year 2009 for fuel that was stolen. Taxes go up. Multiply that one incident by many others, and you are talking about real money.
Personal responsibility, honor, integrity are all going the way of a European attitude in this country. The entitlement society has a foothold, and it is a slippery slope.
I gotta get MINE, screw the other guy...
Still, I have to hold out hope that there are enough people like me and the folks I choose to associate with who will raise their kids right, and not put up with all this nonsense.

Theres still a few who believe like you do my friend. -
The Pete in my avitar is owned by a guy that hauls military equipment. I met him at a truck show. He's an ex-marine. He told me he's on the road over 300 days a year. He was actually selling that particular truck, for a new one. He was asking only $115k for it...yikes.

I like to haul military equipment. I am a veteran and I enjoy getting back on posts. It brings back memories of when I wore the uniform. I enjoy talking to the troops when I unload or load. It gives me the chance to tell them how much I appreciate what they do.
Fratsit, oknavy, Working Class Patriot and 2 others Thank this. -
Like this piece of military equipment?
All of the equipment that I hauled came from brokers that were near the bases. I've hauled quit a bit in & out of Ft Campbell, KY & Atterbury, IN. Ive also loaded right off of the inbound ships at Jacksonville, FL as the equipment was being unloaded. Most of this was National Guard equipment that went to various NG Armory's in the US. I've also rounded up Marine POD's & Humvees that went to Quantico, VA a few times.
The Challenger and Big Duker Thank this. -
