Trans Man at the risk of starting some s### it shows that you aren't a driver so why are you so worried about him getting a driving job?

I'm not worried...I have a job that pay's great money, as a matter of fact, I'm qualified to do many different things... I never trained or worked for free in my life. However, if guy's or gals start driving for free... I'll never drive a truck.

This is a petty statement but, I sincerely hope I don't know you and that you don't live close to me, cause I know we wouldnt be friends.

Nobody is saying they will drive for free all the time. What I've been saying is I will make a trip free of charge to prove to someone that I can be a good driver. I'am not trying to take anyones job, just trying to find one for myself. Is'nt that the AMERICAN WAY? I'am not asking for something for nothing. just a chance to get in some BTW time and some experience. I would hope any O/O would also act as a trainer and if I do not have what it takes to do the job for them then no hard feelings on my part I'd still thank them for the chance. Everybody that is driving today got they're first chance somewhere or were some of you born with the knowledge & ability to drive.

What companies have you applied to? I know that Stevens, Swift, TMC, Roehl and Werners are currently hiring newbies with clean driving records and no criminal history.

So you can drive then correct. Try the lie and learn quickly. Ready mix, maybe get working in the plant, when they find out you an drive then move you into a mixer.

Or work docks, as a lumper to make contacts, micheals, rite aid the warehouse thing.

Its time for Americans to get there head out of there proverbial behinds and help each other. Its going to get worse before this country learns, and its not going to get better till it learns.

The one thing that would help most is just shut these schools down until the oversupply of drivers disappears . Most of the people the schools graduate aren't qualified to drive anyway . They are just a waste of a trainer's time and a huge waste of taxpayers' money .
