Finding a local job with out exp. is difficult at best! Or anyway here in Denver. The local guys don't want to train or pay the newbe higher insurance rates on the trucks. Can't help you with the insurance bit. Did he disclose the medical condition on the app?
| ||||
He isn't the one with the health problems. I am the one with the problems. I called the number they gave us to call about the insurance and I told her about the major health problem. She said that I would have to wait 12 month waiting period for the pre-existing conditions.

I have a question that has come up. Werners health insurance is through Blue Cross Blue Sheild if my husband would change jobs would we have to wait another 12 months with the new company? And what if they would also use Blue Cross Blue Sheild. Has anyone had any experience with that?

been down this road. the only way to get around the pre-existing is to buy short term coverage on your own, I'v done this and it was 120.00 a month to cover my family for the 90 days. The law states that if their are no lapses in insurance coverage then nothing can be considered pre-existing. For instance I left a previous job after 2 years to go to another and had to wait 90 days for the company sponsored coverage,so before I made the move I called anthem and bought my own policy for 90 days. short term health coverage is in most cases alot cheaper than company sponsored coverage, if you go past short term 90-180 days then the premiums start costing 900-1000 a month. Dont listen to what the company says do what the law says to get around it.

If you have existing coverage now, and there is no waiting period in effect, the you won't have a pre-existing period if you transfer job, as long as there is NO lapse in coverage. If you don't have coverage now, and buy a 90 day policy, if that policy has a pre-existing clause that hasn't been satisfied, then you will still have the pre-existing on any new coverage.

Thanks for the help. I was wondering did you have any problem with getting Anthem because of any of your family having pre-existing health issues even on short term? So is the short term easier to get
| |||
I did'nt have any problems getting covered and that was with three previous abdominal surgeries. If you look up companies be ready for 10 calls,they all want your money,its easy,pick a company then a plan and pay.

just look up health insurance and all kinds come up. you can shop for the cheapest price for the period that you want coverage for. you will be surprised at how many want to talk to you.
