O/O that Will Move Furniture?

I didn't know exactly where to ask this question so here I am. If my question is in the wrong place or feel it is out of line please feel free to delete or move it.

I am in the process of packing to move from AZ to SC and am on a limited income and I got to thinking that I remember that trucks sometimes wind up "dead heading" back home or wherever. Anyway, I got to thinking that I could pay fuel for a trucker that does not have a load, if they would move my furniture. My son is an ex trucker so I decided to ask him if he knew how I could get in touch with a trucker like that. He said he had no idea, but said that if he was looking for such a situation he would go to a truckers board. That reminded me that I was a member here although I haven't visited much.

So, anyone have any ideas how I would go about finding such a trucker? Or, an I searching for a situation that is not feasable? My dad always said, "It never hurts to ask". Any input would be appreciated.

I know fuel is expensive. I was not thinking that I could cover the cost of all fuel and drivers time.

I'm getting rid of the raggedy stuff. And, I can get it loaded myself. All the driver would have to do is drive. It wouldn't even take up the whole truck. Just about 10 feet is all I need. So, it doesn't even have to be a completely empty truck.

O/O that Will Move Furniture?

Can someone tell me why I don't get an email notifying me that someone has responded to this thread? I have enabled that feature, but do not get an email.

I asked this on another board and thought I'd bring it over here since this an O/O question board.

I only need about 10 ft of a trailer for my stuff.
