| FFE How many miles can I expect? I am heading for Lancaster on Monday to start orientation. Anybody have any ideas of how many miles drivers are getting now? Any good or bad info would also be appreciated. I talked to the recruiter again this morning to confirm times and they said they definately dont have a problem with trucks being unavailable? Why would they tell people the contrary just two weeks ago? |

| no body told me anything about miles and I didnt ask since I already know they lie. Does anyone have any Guesses at least. How about the trucks? Are they half way decent? Any real answers appreciated |

| I did a lot of checking on FFE before I agreed to drive for them. As it stood 2 weeks ago, miles were pretty decent and available if you wanted to really run. 3K on most weeks didn't seem to be an issue for most. The problem I DID run up against was truck availability. At that time, I confirmed with my recruiter and several other sources that trucks were getting hard to come by...probably due to the economy and decent miles, and maybe FFE cutting back some on the number of rigs. Purely my conjecture, though. I checked with them just last week again, and trucks were scarce and hiring groups were be being pared down considerably. So I'm off to Werner on Sunday.

| Last Week I averaged 1800 miles (did ALOT of sitting because MY fleet manager was on vacationa and I was assigned a weekend dumbarse) but I wont complain since it was paid waiting and I had the flu. This week I will have about 2800 paid on monday morning when I deliver. It;s honestly a crapshoot

| Just be prepared to jump on a bus and go somewhere far, far away to retrieve an abandoned truck. Can you say "28 hours on a Greyhound?" |
| ||||
| That aint no joke, and expect that truck to be a POS that isn't roadworthy, but they want you to do 3-4 weeks of driving in it before you get it to a shop.

I suppose that's because of the low truck availability. Once you do actually get to and through an orientation, the few available rigs are spread out all over the place.
