Lester Coggins used to be in Ft.Myers. Now they are further North.

I used to live in Naples. Nothing! That is why I never went OTR. Nothing unless I wanted to haul tomatoes.

I just finished commenting on Indian River Transport in another thread about a Florida company. I used to work for them when I lived in North Port, FL (in Sarasota county) and they didn't have a problem with me taking the truck home with me either. If you can stay out for about 3 week at a time you can do rather well there.

Here's what you do...while your waiting for a job...you order a taxi cab meter and convert your current vehicle into a cab...

Order the meter...and a top sign...have it calibrated...get the proper business license...and start making money...you can earn anywhere from 100-200 a day...and all the money goes to you...

Unlike working for a cab company where you gotta first make $90 a day for cab lease...
When you own the car your in...all the money and fares go to you...

The above is a link to one of many companies that supply cabbie material...

This is something I've been thinking about doing for a long time...

You can work when you want...stay in your local area...be home often...and once you form a solid customer base...your set...and can eventually buy more used cars and have others drive for you...

Being a cabbie is really not a bad way to go into business for yourself without a lot of overhead or expenses...
