R there any small truckers companies

I'm wondering the same thing in Michigan? Really having a hard time with even the big companies hiring students out of Michigan right now. I would rather be with a smaller company anyways. Anyone giving a chance? I have clean record and any type of driving, van, flat, or even reefer.

 

Check out a company called LOAD-ONE. They are in Michigan and I see a lot of their trucks.

You need to research yourself, the good don't need to advertise.

I think most companies will hire a small trucker unless you are truly a "little person" and cant see over the steering wheel or reach the pedals.

Hang out at truck stops in local area !! That's a good start

 

^ I agree with lawnjunkie and also google will be your best friend in the search.

 

In Grand Rapids try these

Super Service, they were offering 7500 sign on, tell them to wave that if they'll train you

NTB, They do a lot of Meijer and Target loads around the mid west,

Equity, they might give you a shot

Holland Special Delivery, they do a lot of east coast and mid west

Anyone of them MIGHT give you a shot, go there in person rather then calling them...

Go to the truck stop on 76th St. there is always small Michigan trucking companies going in and out of there, beings its really the only one in the area ...

You'll eventually find someone to hire you....
