I didn't go today, We had the day off to go get our permits(which I already had gotten) and I completed the First Aid and CPR course last night, I didn't think it was mandatory for me to add to this post, I must have missed that requirement. Sorry I won't let it happen again, Advertising note I will not be back in class till Tuesday not Monday but Tuesday. Thank You. "Elvis has left the Building"

Ok, I got back to school to find that 2 of my other 4 class mate didn't make it back from the long weekend, I reported in the other did not, We had a study guide over the long weekend with questions about HAZMAT to be due when we got there today, I had cpmpleted mine on Monday evening the other two guys needed a little bit of time, We have a new instructor the older guy who has 30+ years of driving and many many good experiences to share with us was relieved of his duties because the school doesn't feel it good to stick the class with the same instructor thru the whole course... So this new guy had been with the school for 4 years and drove for a whopping are you ready for this? 2 years at Swift till he got tired of it and found a job teaching, Oh did I mention that his name is Jose and that his english is very bad and his reading is worse? We will see what hwappens, I'm just there to get thru it and move on, I'm not there for a parade or a show so we will see. I was given the study guides for the doubles and tripples as well as logs, We will study those two sections tomorrow and then have a big review on Thursday covering the stuff we covered this(short) week on Thursday and then go get our endorsements on Friday... Then I'm not sure what we are going to do next week, We are out of things to study? Maybe we will go to the range and start driving. Till next report Take Care. Be Safe and good luck. TD.

FYI at Watkins and Shepard you don't need any endorsements they told me to save my money. They don't pull much placard HAZMAT anymore and double a triples have a LONG wait since that division shrunk. Just letting you know, I did not get them for now all you need is the computer test anyway and being tight on funds tight now I can always get those endorsements later. If I were to get any it would be HAZMAT. Keep up the good work buddy.

Ok, I'm going into my final week in the class, I'm going to a T/S to look around and answer the homework for the weekend, I am looking forward to getting out on the road and in the driving range, I'm averaging a A- in class there are 2 guys that I'm not sure they are going to make it, They both were retries for their permits and the one guy reads way to much into the questions and so forth, We will see, I faxed my DOT Phys up to my recruiter and I will be sending my MVR up as soon as we get closer to the time I'm headed up. Take Care for now. TD.

Ok, as I stated last week in the classroom, It has been good, I'm think there are 1 possibly 2 that are going to be cut from the class, They are just not catching the concepts that are presented, I started on logs on Monday and am understanding it quite well, I showed my examples of trips we are running to my instructor and he said "I'm using my time wisely and that he was impressed" I'm excited, I think I needed the long drawn out course of 4 hours a day till I'm finished, I think it gives me time to digest what I am learning, I don't think I would have cut it going to the crash course like in 4 weeks like I know some of the guys have done, I have 4 pre-hires now there were a couple more recruiters that came thru class and I spoke with each of them, I'm still going to Watkins and Shepard, I think that will be the best fit for me, I have 4 weeks of driving in the truck and then I contact my recruiter to get up there and get going. Take Care for now. treydavid.
