Hi, Well I tested out tonight and go to get my card that says I am a Commercial Driver on Friday I'm excited. I got there tonight and my instructor said come on lets get this over with, I was saying what and pretending like I wasn't ready, I had been studying the pre/post trip inspection and I got everything covered and went to the range and got those manouvers done. I go in tomorrow and get my paperwork and take it to the DMV for them to get me my license, GCC has there own state certified testers who test you out and send you with paperwork to get your license, I don't have to take a truck to the DMV and be tested by a stranger who has no knowledge of what I have been doing for the past 4 weeks. I would still highly recommend that anyone in the area who wants to get there CDL to check into GCC they are the best around. Take Care. TD.

Congrats TD. I have been following your experience here. Great job. Good luck in the next phase of your driving career. Congrats on the new addition headed your way as well. Children are a blessing from God. We don't always think so but they truly are.

Treydavid - Did you take the TTD101, TTD102, TTD103 and TTD104 worth 16 credits or the 8 week course (4 weeks classroom and 4 weeks driving range) with no credit hours? It looks like the cost is fairly close, just not sure which one to choose?

Allow me to explain so that all will know!.

I signed up to get my CDL and now I am in a 8 week Practicum which is a "On-the-job practicum providing experience and training to develop advanced competencies in handling a tractor-trailer". This is OJT All I have to do is get a job and send in a weekly report as to what is happening they gave me my reports to fill out and send in every week and self addressed stamped envelopes. I highly recommend this course(all of it) to everyone, I am so impressed with what I have learned that I think I can go and be successful as a driver, I know I have more to learn then I have already learned. Take Care all and Thank all of you for your kind words and encouragement. TD.
