Found a small school located in Salinas, CA thanks to a great trucker on this forum. Seems like a good deal for $2500. Only problem I have is that its not an approved school and they just told me to come by on my days off and learn. I have tried to get a loan and aid to go to an accredited school but I have been denied and not having a car adds to the dificulty. This money is my whole savings at the moment.Thinking of doing it but Im not sure if Ill get the best instruction and learn properly. I was more interested in learning here and trying to get a construction gig locally. Then again I could go to Central or FFE and get a solid years experience and go wherever I want....Im torn for now.
Small school of FFE??

The school is not accredited for the FFE program or through the State? If the school is not accredited through the school then don't go there. If its because its not accredited for FFE ask if the school can send FFE their training catalog to get approved...its super easy if the school is showing you everything right...

I agree with him if this school is not government approved so don't go there

I was saying should I do this school or go the ffe school in texas. the school is basically just a way to get a cdl on my own time and try to get a local construction driving job. being tied down to a company a year scares me and $2000 for a school is all I can afford...

Is FFE still not accredited?

You dont have to worry bout accreditation. One yr of otr experience will get u another driving job just about anywhere they run otr.
