Hello,
I'm ready to begin a new career as a truck driver. Any advice as to which driving school offers the best training and ones I should stay away from?

If you go anywhere other than Davidson County Community College and take advantage of the outstanding program they have there, then you wasted both your time and money.
I live in high point and did almost a year of research into what's available around here and they are hands down the best. In curriculum, cost, seat time, equipment, instructors, and employment opportunities once you graduate. -
Contact epes for the approved school list, if we hire from they they should be one of the better schools. And after school, epes is a great place to work. Pm
Me for info -
they do hire from there.
they like DCCC......they produce quality, very trainable students. they hired me and 5 others from my class and have hired from other DCCC classes in the past -
Goodwill in Winston Salem trains and is half the cost of a regular school, 2000 to 2500 last time I checked.

DCCC is 925 and a better program
8 weeks and 380 hours and I had just over 750 miles seat time and so much backing I could do it with my eyes closed lol
If you pay over 1000 you paid too much for too little -
You could check out www.CreteCarrierJobs.com/student-driver
then click on "Browse Schools". These are the schools that are approved by Crete/Shaffer. I am not suggesting they are the only schools but at least it is a starting point.
