Anyone who thinks this type of truck driving school is good after they sweet talk you on the telephone, should be aware.
"This Is Too Good To Be True."
1st) The State of Indiana C.D.L. exam is difficult all by itself let alone to attempt to pass through a C.R.E. training, program.
If you fail the written exam you can return the next day
and take it again.
C.R.E. then pounds on you to study, vs. a continued
classroom of review for everyone to understand the
contents of the exam, that Indiana requires.
If your paying for this training, or the prospects of a
truck purchase, or lease, as a "new bee" to this
industry it's going to take alot of time before you
clear any "pocket revenue".
2) Your "field training" will be with some experienced
driver, who only trains you to become his "slaved driver"
while he sleeps which helps him make revenue.
You'll eat meals on his schedule, take showers when he
does (if he does shower), and everything will be about
his business of working, and very little out you
developing good driving skills after your graduation.
Not all driver trainers work this way, remember their
being paid to train you.
A good trainer has patience, he's able to point out
corrections, without "stress'n you and he" out"
You must keep an "open mindset" listen and ask
questions, pay attention while he's driving, to learn the
skills the trainer is instructing you on.
Most of all, "Relax" this training is meant to be a happy time, serious yes, but not a time of "Doom N Gloom"
Remember no one climb into one of these trucks and
got it right the first time after they got their license,
on how to drive, and maneuver these trucks on day 1.
No one did, we ALL had to start somewhere, just like
you are now.
Best Of Luck to You;
God Bless You In your Quest...!

LMAO - Kevin jealously defended CR, and how long did he last there? A couple months, tops?
Haha...cool story bro! -
I hope I can tough it out in this field. I am very eager to get a start!
-
Just another guy using somebody to put money in his pocket.
And I just love this"He is showing me the ropes of buying a truck" as the first part part of your training.
England has a bad rep for a reason. -
I'm thinking of going to c.r England truck driving school. Can anyone tell me if it is worth going to?
-
@BigPig
He just finished school with them. He has a thread about his experience. -

I start on Monday in Burns Harbor. My question is how close is a shopping center, do we have access to a kitchen or will we be buying all our meals for the 16 days. Either way is fine but need to prepare appropriately. Besides the usual what else would you recommend i bring for the training? -
16 whole days?
Bug spray. -
