Top be honest no... J Sarge sucks, Shippers Choice is even worse... if you can find a company that owns there own trucking school go to them, but those two i just mentioned is terrible!!!

I appreciate the info. Looking at either prime or central. Going to John Tyler first to see what there program is like. I stopped at shippers choice already.

well all i'm going to say is i warned you, your only going to get to drive 20 mins a day more than likely packed up in a truck with 5 people, i went there for 1 weekend and got the hell away!!! and went to a school which i was truly bless to find and ironically opened for about 3 or 4 months in Amelia... I don't know where you live but i heard there was a good school in Emporia and South Hill at the Community College...

    rev3 Thanks this.

I didn't get a good vibe at shippers choice. I live in Midlothian. I was looking at John Tyler because they are an approved school for a few of the companies I was looking at after getting my cdl.

Thanks Hawk, Really trying to do my homework on these companies. I'm taking all of this very seriously. Talked to a few companies about the training they provide after school and know that's where I'm going to get the experience I need to be successful. Most of these schools just want that money.

I have been attending John Tyler myself. From what is available in the area they were the better choice for me.
I am attending the Part time class. I will admit there was some issues initially with trucks being down but from what i've seen of the other choices it was the better choice.
The Volvo's we use in class are ok.
The Trainers do help out if your having issues trying to learn anything.
I had to stop going to class due to financial reasons but will be back in January once the bills are paid and will be graduating the end of Jan.
I'm sure there are better schools out there but this one was the best for me.
