USA Do what you want

I have over 22 years in law enforcement, both military, local, and federal. My son is now a police officer in VA. Personally in talking with him, I couldn't do it today. It's not like it used to be, and alot more dangerous. Used to be people settled things between themselves with a good old fashioned fist fight (which I can remember just watching) then if it wasn't over with then, someone would go to jail. But bottom line is you need to really think about it. If you're married, I can tell ya it takes a "special" woman to be a cops wife. It's not easy. Like everyone else said, it will be alot easier to get into the police dept. while you are young. Trucking will always be here, and we would always welcome ya later if not now. Take your time and consider everything.

Best of luck to ya.
