Swift, Prime, CRST, covenant. When you stop at a truck stop grab a book. Just remember a training company is a training company. They are what they are. Compare and shop.

That's what I'm doing. But Covenant wants u in a truck with a trainer for 7 months. And they are coast to coast. Looking for something regional east cost or southeast. I'm from Alabama.

Look into Schneider, they will cut you loose if you have the skills, they also stand behind you and assign a dispatcher that works with new drivers.

    Unkl L Thanks this.

Prime sticks you on a truck for 40k truck miles. You can do that in around 2 months. CRST 28 days. More training is not a bad thing. Just need to look at the pay.

If he is already in a school and graduates, Millis will still make him go through their school. They won't take him on directly out of the school he is going to.

Don't mind the training. Just think 6 months is a lot. I wanna go solo asap. Not to interested in team for simple fact have kids and want to take them out from time to time.

wouldn't recomend taking kids for at least 1 year.they are a major distraction.they move around, and need entertained etc.just my opinion.alot of times kids do get injured and killed in truck wrecks.your first year should be just about getting experiance.of course this is just my opinion.

Of course you will get a hazmat background check, after? You leave school?

Then they cann't fire you if you don't get one. Just pass your written test in school.
