This School is a great school for new people to get into trucking. i am attending there right now i graduate this friday and ive already passed and got my cdl. there tuition is cheap and there out of state is cheaper than most in state also if you need a room the room is no extra charge.!!!!!! one awesome thing about central tech is they have a two student per truck ratio which gives you more time behind the wheel. by the time i graduate ill have drivin nearly 400 miles. Also recruiters come to this school and recruit. I am LEaving for iowa this friday to start at tmc

I as well am apart of this school. I graduate friday as well as Youngster is in the same class...As a little more detail, the tuition for instate residents is $2500 and out of state I believe is $4500. I also believe with room and board for the school which is in Drumright oklahoma is included.

The school is 4 weeks and 3 days long... Around 150 hrs in the classroom and around 50 hrs with the trucks. You will take trips that are around 100-200 miles long ONE way...As your partner will drive 1 way as well.

Great trucks, great instructors who will teach you what you need to start in this career. You can research to find thier # or go to TDT-OK.com if interested. Throughout the school you will obviously learn: PTI, 90 degree back, offset, blindside/driver side parallel and everything inbetween.

Also it's pdti and look for a grant which could make it cost free.

Thanks for the insight guys, I am considering this school myself. I would be coming up from Texas to attend so I would have to pay the out of state.

So the motel rooms I see listed on their site are included in the tuition costs? That is good to know.

How many people per class? Can you drive the trucks for practice on the weekend or what goes on during the weekends?

I am debating between this school and maybe doing Roehl's company school since I think I may end up driving for them anyway but I have not decided.

Well the school is a government ran school so it's not open on the weekends and our class started out with 14 3 left on the own one thing about this school is that there's hardly ever an instructor in the truck with you during school, so your nerves aren't being rattled, the only time they are in the truck with you is when your doing your first two road trips since neither student in the truck has there cdl,and when there doing there test for the school, but your next two road trips are the long ones and the instructors are in the front truck and the last truck but all the trucks In between are just two student which one of the two should have there cdl by this point

That is great to get some inside advice, thanks! I guess I would hang out at the hotel on the weekends or go visit family in Bartlesville or something.

What companies came to the school? Who are you guys going with?

Companies that came were Shepard, tmc, Stevens, Tyson, Conway and I think one or two others with a couple of cancellations. I'm going with Crete I believe and youngster is off to tmc...

The information that I'll send you via pm will be good... And it's not reading :)

Actually midnight our class got jipped I was talking to the instructor and the only reason we had those old trucks in the straight backs is because the freight liners weren't ready lol but most normally we would have had our trucks we finished in from the day we started in the straight backs till grad day
