Heading to National Training Institute NTI Jacksonville next week.

Can't wait to get started heard good reviews. Home school was pretty thorough and finished that with no issues. Little anxious but excited about getting behind the wheel for the first time. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is Being outside in the heat.

I was wondering how many people to expect in my class and if any previous students had any tips or advice

    Gulf Coast Trucker,

I am real curious to hear about your experience as I have been courted/harassed by Roadmaster instructors since I paid them a visit. I live about 45 minutes from both schools so they are convenient for a daily commute. My issue with RM is that the recruiter lied to me about some benefits Werner offered, then when I spoke to someone from their corporate recruiting office he told me that person was no longer with Roadmaster. When I called the office back the guy was still there. I have been affected by the economic depression like everyone else, spent two years as a depressed unemployed carpenter in NYC and like the rest of the diaspora I returned somewhere more economically suitable. I am now working as an office manager for a taxi company in Jacksonville. The work does not suite me and I am looking to make a big change. Before I worked for the taxi company I sold cars, and I recognize some of the tactics used by RM recruiters as dirty sales tricks so I am not comfortable with them. I am also curious about job placement from National. I plan to call them tomorrow but please keep me posted.

    Thanks,
    JoelC

Ill keep you posted on my training I had a bad experience with a recruiter at roadmaster in Tampa I'm only 20 mins from them but I am glad it happened before I was financially committed. So far I feel much better dealing with National if you go on their website you can sign up for one of their Webinars which gives you a pretty good breakdown of the school it's also interactive so you can ask questions live. I think they have an open house coming up it may be this weekend. Good luck
