My husband and I are making preperations to become a husband and wife trucker team. We've been looking for trucking schools all over our state and finally found one that doesn't have a whole lot of up front cost. It's the Truck Driver Insistute in Forsyth, GA. I can't find a single scrap of information on this school as to whether or not they are a good school or reputable. Does anyone have any information on this school or any suggestions on other schools to go to? Our local community college offers a course but it's somewhere sround $5,000 up front and I cannot afford that at all. Anyhow, any help would be amazing!!

doesnt have to be in state either. I went to roadmaster in columbus ohio. We had guys from Pennsylvania and Maryland in my class. Something to consider.
Whatever you do , stay away from company sponsered schools. They will lock you into a contract to drive for them. Its better to have choice in where you hire on , in my opinion.
Good Luck!! -
the man i spoke with was saying that the out of pocket cost for you is 315$ even if you use their lodging.
but i plan on personally driving there to see how real the deal is. i live in Roswell, GA and have a Buddy who wanna team up with me.
Lemme know if you find an other better deal or if you went and talk with them?
