    Any schools in NYC?

Hi, I am interested in becoming a trucker and I've been looking into truck driving schools in my area but only found one so far and can't find any info on it, is there anyone from NYC on here that can help? Thanks

That is the one I know of its called pinto driving school, I walked in and they have a "study course" which is access to a computer to practice for the written test and after is 100 per hour lesson, they also have packages but I tried to find some reviews or info on it and found nothing, if anyone has any info please share I don't wanna spend my money on a crappy school....

Yeah that doesn't sound right. You can study and the permit on your own.

Also the trucks that they use are one axle and are not 53 feet in length but a bit smaller if my vision is correct.

The length of the trailer shouldn't be a factor when learning. I'm sure you want to learn in as small as possible in NYC also a smaller trailer is harder to back than a bigger one. kind of like when you go get your car license nowadays you don't want to take a big car it you don't have to.

But wouldn't it be difficult to adjust to driving a big truck when you learned on a small one? And I don't understand the logic behind smaller trucks are harder to back...
