Hello gentlemen,
I am looking for recommendations for a company sponsored school that will over look the fact that I have a "21" year old felony on my record.
Not for drugs, no violence. I was in my 20's and drunk and did the STUPIDEST thing ever.
I read one companies qualifications that restricted ALL offenses for "moral turpitude" so that would leave me out.
I have a Clean driving record ... I don't want to waste my time applying to one company after another just to get rejected. And I don't have the funds to pay for CDL schooling on my own.
Getting paid during training is a must, so I don't mind the usual 1 year work commitments.
Relocating would be a pleasure.
I am doing a lot of research, but am getting dizzy sifting through the unending pages of info.
Once I find a place, I don't mind putting somebody in for a referral bonus ?
Where would you suggest I look ??
Many Thanks
RR

You're going to need to be more clear than "moral turpitude"...by definition that encompasses just about every crime on the books...rape, prostitution, kidnapping, smuggling, theft, domestic violence, and the list goes on. Also it might help if you gave us a general location where you live (State).
But, if you break it down....most training companies violate most subjects covered by "moral turpitude"! -
CALL the companies!!! PLEASE do yourself a favor and stop thinking school and START thinking company. Trucking schools are what they are and they primarily use the "federal standard" to tell people that SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURE you can get a CDL and get hired as a driver.. but they DO NOT hire drivers and their goal is to get you in a classroom.. make out a list and start calling the companies and start applying with them. They do the background checks and all that or have a set standard for who they will and or will not hire.. Good luck!
TRKRSHONEY and Rick_C Thank this. -

What Company offers a sponsored school and will overlook a 20+ year old felony conviction ?
as for the arrest it was a misdemeanor Indecent Exposure, but she was underage so I was slapped with a felony Risk of Injury to boot.
Finding any job has been like having leprosy. -
Now the big question...are you required to register as a sex offender? That will be the big problem!
And where do you live? Not being nosey...your location will give us a better idea of what company(ies) are in your "zone".TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.
