Or, you could take the initiative and do your own research.

I've never heard of a company asking to see a diploma; guess they might if when they ask if you finished school, you get jittery and start staring at the floor or ceiling. Look at Watkins & Shepard, seems to be a good company. They also have tuition reimbursement & may have their own school.

Most guys just check "yes" on high school.

that sounds like your best bet, but general mathematical skills would be handy for figuring out the balance on your food stamp card.

Your best bet is go back and get your GED.Your not going to find any school or company without a diploma. My brothers kids both quit school and found out not even mc donalds would hire them.Since then one of his kids got her GED and is now in colledge.

With that attitude this probably is not the industry for you. Got to have some drive and determination to make this work. Maybe look into something like construction labor cause almost every job requires you to have GED nowadays.

    pattyj Thanks this.

I started my first job when I was 12.

39 years later I have yet to have one employer to physically ask to see a HS diploma. I'm just sayin" :)

What can they do? Fire you? You're already unemployed! :)

When it comes to seeing diploma's it's usually white collar jobs that want to see college transcripts.

You know how to use a computer, you can spell, you are doing better than many truckers that slid through the cracks in school. You'll do okay.

If call recruiters they will either ask or they won't. Kinda hard to guess what a recruiter will say. Depends on who you talk to. You will never know till you try though. If they say need one and you want this bad enough you will get it. You will amaze yourself what you can do when really try and put your mind to it. I love when people say I can't do something just so I can prove them wrong and see them fail at yet another thing like being right. Good luck to you wish you the best.
