Any one been through refresher training in San Diego or Riverside counties? Whats the refresher cover? Cost? I have all endorsements and permit already, just trying to find someone willing to help me out with a truck to test in at dmv for the road test portion to finish up and go to work. have 6 different possible jobs once i get license finished. I know how to drive , spent ten years in the saddle before i quit and let my oregon cdl go. now renewing it in calif. and need to get up to speed on latest changes in industry.

Hey Paluche, thanks for the help, called united in riverside explained was an old school driver needing a truck to test in , they basically told me to piss off they don't rent trucks. call penske they said. They want me to spend 4 weeks in driving school. the funny part is i was more than likely driving my own trucks before their drivers were born. lol
i got ahold of Phil at western in bakersfield talked to him then he found out i was in escondido and put me in contact with Jeff at san diego site. I finally got ahold of someone who actually listens first before running his yap and trying to blow smoke up my ###. So I will do a driving eval, to be sure I am up to passing the drive tests , $150.... I am confident i can do that no problem. then if I check out ok , $250 to rent the truck to test at the dmv test center in Spring Valley. If i need practice on anything , say parallel parking $75/hr. for practice to be ready to pass test. I was impressed by western and Jeff at San Diego office. so we'll see how it turns out with them once i go do business with them. Also he said I am free to sit in in all the classroom portion to get up to date for free. log books , dot regs ect...
