Western Truck School San Diego

i've heard that it's very closely related to western pacific truck school, which has a very respected program. i think they teach you all sorts of things--like reading the drivers atlas. i don't think it's a standard cdl mill--it will look good on a resume as it's certified by some major truck school certification board.

 

Western Truck School is a good choice. They are not a CDL Mill and will give you what is required. Modesto, CA seems to have a great program. San Diego, I hear very little about, but it is the same company...good luck!

 

yes from what i understand, the people who started the original school in the 1970s were married. they divorced and kept the same curriculum. one school remained western truck school, and the other became western pacific truck school. from what i've heard they have identical curriculum.

 

Moloko, Yes, it is the Nord family which is involved with those schools. One broke off and become Western Pacific. I believe Western is the original...correct me if I am wrong but I am not too keen on trucking schools history, haha

 

haha well uhh, it's all in this career man. families splitting up because the dude's never home so she starts effing the neighbor to get her fix, meanwhile he's smoking some crizzack at a truck stop with a hooker on his lap. that's why we all need local or ltl jobs. sorry, stereotypes at their finest . and i agree about the trucking schools history. sadly western truck school and western pacific truck schools are as good as they come. the curriculum is good and looks excellent on a resume, but we all know the roots of these organizations!

 

I had recent dealings with them. I am impressed with the people they have there . The lead instructor is excellent. He actually gives a #### about teaching you how to drive.... I wasn't a student there but had a chance to meet some of the people there and observe.

 

one thing is for sure--the nordic enterprises are extremely respected as far as truck schools are concerned.
