Cool is there any chance of doing local or even regional as a student or does it have to be OTR and the reason I'm asking this is because I honestly don't have the money to pay for the schooling and after reading a little bit it seems like C.R. England will just screw me on the schooling pretty much

local or regional are routes usually after school, prime will pay for your schooling if you stay a year it's free. OTR is usually the way to go for company sponsored training and most carry that one year deal

Check out Roehl. We have a Texas regional and a terminal in Grand Prairie. Schooling however is only in Wisconsin at the main office/terminal. They will get you up to WI for schooling. On this web site go into company DAC Roehl. Look for GoBlue's posts. He posted during his 3 week schooling with Roehl.

If you're low on cash; Prime or Central Refrigerated.

Stevens has an excellent training program in Dallas.

Check with Raider Express in Ft. Worth.

go to a tech.college who offers cdl classes. If your unemployed you might be eligible for a grant through your county. When you go to a company sponsered school they own you for a year.If you go to a local school you are able to go where you want to.Being close to dallas there should be a driving school near by.The unemployment office may be able to help you find one.Just so you know,if you have been convicted of a crime or had your license suspended you will not be able to find a decent job.driving schools dont tell you that until you have signed all the paperwork. You will not be a local driver until you get some experience.there arent a lot of local jobs and drivers with more experience get the ones available.hopefully Ill see you out there someday good luck
