Well, Its sounds to me like you have had maybe some bad experiences with maybe this company, or others; & it really makes me wonder why you think that this is a "fancy" attempt at promoting a company. That would that be a mistake by the company in promoting their brand because its essentially deceptive. How do we know that you are an actual person, & not a representative of Celadons competition or something like that? You have been a member since September 2011 & have only made 5 posts in all that time?? THAT is something that is "fishy" to me! A person that is legitimately what they claim usually has a little more posts than that. I know for a fact that DocComm2 is Legit, because I am his Wife. I also know what I am talking about with VBulletin Forums such as these; because I have many of my own forums, over the years, that I have been active in as well.

I guess it all comes down to one phrase "Haters are gonna hate"

    Don't be a hater dude.

    Peace. :biggrin_25525:

Down, baby, down....... It is ok...... You don't need to go all "Bubbles" on the guy...... I am sure that after all the fake stuff that has been on here there can be some skepticism. You can still be my WatchWoman, though. It makes me love you all the more!

Yes, Bubbles is my wifey and she can get a bit protective, at times. I love that about her. So, it is Sunday, and I am starting to sort clothes, toiletries, and so on. I have a week to get ready and I am going to take my time so I don't have to make a mad run for home. I am going to be calling my recruiter tomorrow to get answers to a few questions so I can be sure to be prepared properly. Peace.

going to point out that whether or not this poster is employed by Celadon is somewhat unimportant.

i say this because if one or two members of this site end up going there and its bad then you know it'll get posted up on here.

Well, I was running the roads for about 4 hours today doing a bunch of networking and system maintenance. So, I was unable to call my recruiter. Now, my first priority in the morning is going to be to call her and ask her the things I want to know before I go down there in 6 days. SIX DAYS! I can't wait. I am getting pumped up a little more every hour that passes. It is kind of crazy how bad I want to do this.... Do you remember, as a kid, when your parents were taking you somewhere special? Remember how time just seemed to start slowing down and you thought you were never going to get there? You would walk in to the kitchen and look at the clock on the stove, and it was only 1 minute since the last time you looked. Then you looked at the clock on the wall, and it was 3 minutes fast. That is how I am beginning to feel right now. I keep looking at the clock, like it is going to tell me that it is Saturday night and I need to get the truck loaded in the morning and head to Indy.

I got bored today while I was waiting for an update to install, so I made a little video -

It helps to pass the time. :biggrin_255:

Anyway, stay tuned and I will post some more details as I get them and the countdown is going. Peace.

Well, I made contact with Wendy, my recruiter today. Here are the results of what I asked:

Q: What, if any, dress code is there for the training?
A: You can wear shorts and a Tshirt with tennis shoes or boots just remember you are in a professional setting.

    Q:
Is there training through the weekend?
A: The training will be monday through friday from 8:00 to 5:00

Q: Is there anything I need to make sure I have the money to cover?
A: You may want to bring some extra money to do laundry or to buy snacks etc, but we will be providing you 3 meals a day

So, now I know a bit more of what to expect. I had already planned on taking some extra money with me so I can cover any unforseen needs. I am glad that I can wear shorts! I always sweat easily. I have since I was a kid. So, I picked up a couple of moisture-wicking shirts and I am going to grab a couple extra pairs of shorts. I am about 1/3 packed now. I keep going over in my mind what I don't want to forget. I have also started a task list on my Android phone, which I can access through my Google account. That way, I can keep adding to the list so, hopefully, I won't forget anything.

I am also wrapping up the last of the repairs that I have in the service center. I should have everything done and ready to be returned by Saturday. This will be great because I don't want to leave any incomplete projects. If anything is left over, that means that my weekends are going to be filled with trying to get the last of them done. I would much rather spend that time with my wife and kids. I will only have 2 of these weekends from the way it sounds right now.

Anyway, I have to get wrapped up here and get to bed. Peace.

Friday night. Quiet, and awaiting my final marching orders for class. Hopefully I will hear something in the morning so I can focus on my final prep. I plan to leave early Sunday so I can settle in and relax so I can get my focus on. Tomorrow I am going to attempt my permit tests so I can get those out of the way. I have taken the tests here about 100 times and have only missed a few each time, and only failed a handful. So, if I can knock those down then I will be one step closer to Class A CDL. Peace.

Day one was a little chaotic. Continual interruptions for paperwork, a special program for Indiana residents to apply for, and cramming the Indiana CDL manual. There was a guy in class who had started in the last class but had to stop - he said that it wasn't near this crazy the last time he was there. Tomorrow is physical and drug testing with more CDL manual cramming. Wednesday begins the CDL permit testing at the local BMV. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are wrapping up the required 40 hours of classroom instruction and retesting for those who need it. The next two weeks are range and road. Then, in the fourth week, you test for your license. If you pass, you go in to the next orientation for Celadon and get paired with a trainer. At least, that is what I understand as of today. Subject to change without notice. Your mileage may very.......

    Peace.

I am also in the class. I actually saw you sitting in back today. Tomorrow is cut day. Physicals and drug tests always knock a lot of guys out. I hope my blood pressure stays low. If I am still around on friday, I will introduce myself.
