Nah man no problem at all, Idc a bit to help you... You should be ready to go and just so you know, the offer the physical for 40 bucks when you get here if you want to wait. If not, make sure the place your going is approved by swift or you'll take another one. You won't be able to drive home because you have class on the weekends too. The schools good man, it really is... I will say that it is challenging, driving these big trucks ain't not joke, I learned that myself but if this is what you wanna do then don't delay it, come down here and get it done... It's fun and such a rewarding opportunity.

Oh and if your neck is a certain bmi (you'll have to look up the numbers) you will get a 3 month card and be required to get a sleep study done but safety first offers them for a few hundred bucks and their approved by Swift. Just PM if you need any help or more info.... Good luck!

The rooms aren't bad, it's not first class but there comfortable and they clean them daily. They feed you the first day and after that, it's on you, it's not hard, I'm working on a budget too and I've did well so far... Just be prepared to eat a lot of sandwiches and ramen. It's laid back, it's probably not what your thinking...there's 2 different sites, the classroom and the range, it's nothing like a big academy or anything. It's hard to explain but the people's cool, they'll push you through some stuff you'd never imagine you could do lol. Cities and snow? Heck, you'll probably trip out the first time you try to straight line lol, people just don't realize how difficult it is to drive these trucks but you can and will learn to do all of it if you give it your all...

And no it does not sound cheesy about you wanting something to be proud of.. im 38 and have a wife and kids and slave in a factory and i don't see them now as it it working long switch shifts. I WANT this.. and doing it for my family. I love driving and why not get paid to do it. im sure there is BS to deal with but that's with any job.

Well you seem to have a great attitude man and I think you'll do well. If I was you, I would just get a ticket for the bus, they cover it and that'd give you more money. You really don't need a vehicle here, all you need is close and you really won't have time to do anything so I'd use that cash for food and what not. Alot of the people here can be jerks and some of them are great, just gotta deal it...

2 instructors to 43 students in my group, 2 or 3 to a truck... You don't get alot of time with the instructors, they show you what to do then you figure it out.
