I'm sorry? On the serious note, you might want to reconsider and try some place better like Prime. FFE didn't have a school in the two times I worked there and why I went back a second time is the dumbest thing I could have ever done. I don't know how the training is but if you do still decide to go then I wish you the best of luck. I've got me a big ol' bird to fly at Chad in safety. He is a world class, A-1 #########! You'll probably meet him in orientation if hes still there.

Idk how is the training alot of threads i have read say its good and bad and seen videos on youtube about other people saying same thing plus the school is a couple hours from me so im in texas still
Chinatown Thanks this. -
From what I've read on this forum, FFE has an excellent CDL school & very strict on the road portion, which is good. Go for it and enjoy your new career.
The financial group that owns KLLM recently purchased FFE, which gives FFE more financial stability, which translates into job security for the drivers. -
If you're interested in pulling reefer, Stevens Transport (also based in dallas), has the best training program in the industry for new drivers. It's longer than most company's, but you won't regret it.

there's a pretty good thread on here.. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...e/138602-the-new-ffe-driver-academey-325.html don't think i'd start at the first page though because the 2011 stuff prob won't apply any more.
if you do go i STRONGLY suggest taking the tests and getting your permits in advance of arriving. if you get through it all you will have a cdl.
once driving for them don't be afraid to bail and find another company. i know lots that did and did not have to pay the full amount for the school.
any questions feel free to ask or to pm me.

I feel like ffe will be the fit for me for now cause its gonna be my first job in trucking industry and i wanna learn all the proper ways to be a good driver. My only worry is how to do log books but i seen them go to elogs and is that better then paper logs. But also scared of learning to driver standard on a truck too is that normal or am i just being chicken lol

Is it good if i take my general knowledge exam to get my permit and after lets say i pass can i take exams for endorsements ?
-
If you are able, go to truck stops and seek out a few drivers for FFE and speak with them personally eye to eye when they are fueling, or on the way in and out of the store. That is what I have done, and you will be amazed at how much more positive the responses are. I have had a couple of drivers I did not think were going to let me walk away they wanted to talk so much. I just spoke with a Con-Way Truckload driver that was parked in a Walmart parking lot, and we talked for a half hour. I even got a tour of his KW, a truck I have never been in. The guy was a gold mine of info. I would go with Con-Way if I could afford their up front costs to their training program, but really, FFE will be a good company to gain experience with, and may even work out for the long haul. -
Thats cool if we see each other there i would introduce myself to you i seen alot of ffe trucks down here in south texas fly by i figure they owner op there brand new prostar trucks im keeping postive and just learn from trainers the right way just nervous on the road test and learning how shift the test im not to worry about cause i been studying pretty good amount but can do better i hope to see you there on the 26th
