Can anyone get a CDL in 3 eight hour lessons.

Hello everyone, I just passed my test for my CDL and was looking for a school, in the NY-NJ area that I could train for my road test. In my search I stumbled across a school called Winsor Tractor Trailer school or something like that. I just went today to check them out and was told that they can guarantee me that I would pass my road test in 3 days. Consisting of three eight hour days all for (drum roll please) a whopping 1995.00. I stumbled across this sight , and boy have I learned a lot, I would like to thank everyone that has contributed to making this site such a rich resource for us rookies.

A person could pass a CDL test and get a CDL with out a school, but finding a GOOD job would be slim to none. Most Good schools are 150-160 hours. The one you listed I would be worried about. Sounds like it is geared more to getting you a CDL and not a job.

thanks for your replies. I was under the impression that after getting my cdl I could go and train with one of the trucking companies that offer training, or is that an option which is not available?

Most of those companies require a school of 150-160 hours.

If you are thinking about Smith and Solomon, they rank right there with windsor. There is no PTDI Schools in NJ.

It's frightening to me to think about the men/woman behind those very BIG wheels without proper training.

what frightens me is the millions of four wheelers without adequate training, who check their brains at the door before getting into their cars.
