Why do so many of the schools teach their students to run the emergency flashers on the truck when climbing a hill?

when you fall about 20 MPH below the posted speed limit ,you then become a road hazard.

use the flashers to alert those behind you that there is a hazard ahead.

not all people do this, but we wish they would.

    I learned it yrs ago.

and also headlights on when road surface is wet.

you may be able to see fine but we can't see you in the spray beside the truck.

after 36 yrs you don't know this??

I wish more drivers throw their flashers on when coming into a traffic jam.

It's also a law in many places. Look for the signage and pay attention. Same most often applies to using the right lane when you do.

Becaucse like the others have said, it gives the others warning you are moving slow. And I do not want to get hit in the backside. That is an exit only detail on me. lol

Who knows... I hear they encourage using blinkers when turning and not shifting when crossing rail road tracks too... what kind of malarkey are they teaching????( *apply sarcasm and humor here!*)

And here I thought the sound of the four ways blinking was to put me to sleep at night. Learn something new everyday. (sarcasm)
