Forbidden 3 Michigan School 2 Stay Away From:

ITS: International Trucking School- Based out of Warren/Novi/Lansing/Monroe and Soon Kalmazoo

I am telling you this as a Warning, Cause I have attended there. This School is known for Bad Trucks that shouldn't be out on the Road, Nothing in these Trucks work, Like Wiper pump,Steering has Too much Play or steering has No power,Front Lights Busted and most of All Bald Tires.
The Schooling part Was good Learned just about everything I needed to know My Instructor ( Mike ) Was also a Truck Driver He was passionate about his Career and shared His Knowlege to His Classmates, But thats all I can Say about Teaching End, Update The Instructor is No longer there!!

I want you to Know this What you call school is a Rip Off it's Not what it claims to Be. If UnEmployment Trys to get you to go there, avoid them!
US Trucking or some Other School that Might be Better.....

The Time you spend in the Rig Driving the Roads, in a Two week Peroid is about 10 to 14 hours Total, on the field ( Backing 90, 45, Str8, Right side Turn ) you'll spend about 40 hours. Which is Not Good with the two combined. You'll Need about 140 to 200 hours behind the wheel from a School to get a Job with any Company....

But thats where ITS helps You, They Cheat Your Hrs and Drive it up to either 140hrs to 320hrs behind the wheel, and I am telling you from Exp. This is Not Safe, You Need those Hrs to Help you Feel Comfy Driving those Big Rigs, and If you Don't Pass Testing Out to obtain your CDL you get too take another 2 weeks in the Field but only if Space is available, But Remember you also have to pay third Party Examiner another $100.00 , and when you do that You Payed for you License, wether you pass or Not!!....

The School cost is about $5140.00 and runs for 4 weeks , 2 weeks in classroom and 2 weeks out on the Field...1st Exam you don't pass With Examiner ( Third Party ) you have to Pay out of Pocket 2 time you see him 2 weeks later....

I have Bought this Case To Michigan Unemployment and To the BBB and Lansing ... This so called School should not Be Running.
You'll Find out when you apply for a Company and they will say Never Heard of that School and you'll have to Explain where it is and give them phone numbers and where its location is, I am Trying to get this Message out Because you need to Know, and You like many out there Check the Background out on these Schools , don't go by their Words or Unemployment , Feel them out, Reseach them found out if they will help you with Placement of a Job....

Just Be Careful, This School is Not one I would Recommend to anyone...

Good that you have reported this. I finished school not long ago, got a job and am driving now. The biggest thing I noticed that the school did not teach and should have in my opinion was pulling a loaded trailer. If all you ever pull is an empty and you try to get hired somewhere, take a road test with a loaded trailer, you will be like OH SHITE. Nothing is the same with 30,000lbs plus in the trailer your pulling. Not your shifting, turning or stopping. The other significant thing my school didn't teach was how to deal with all of these various weigh stations. They are not so simple as just pull in, say hello and you can go on. The road life will not be for everyone, that is another challenge all by itself. Be carefull and good luck.
