I don't know anything about law suits but I do know NETTS is an excellent school and like most of life you get out of it what you put in. I do know that I had 5 job offers before I graduated and a job less than 2 weeks after I passed my test. If you wanted it, there was plenty of good staff there who would bend over backward to help you. If you wanted to go home after 2 hours of a 10 hr day thats what you got out of it. Its an excellent 480 hr course and if you work it they will work with you if you dont they're not going to hold your hand and waste their time if your not putting in the effort.

I went to NETTS ( just graduated & passed on my 1st try ). NETTS will give you what you put into it....YOU HAVE TO WANT TO LEARN....Attitude is everything...............Bad attitude = students that have been there for 10 months.......

 

I also attended NETTS.It is a very solid course,the instructors are all very supportive and will help you strengthen your weak points. Summer months are usually booked for 5 day 8 hour days of training they also have weekends which are 12 hr days I believe. Winter months of course have lighter volume.

I cant really think of any negative things to say about the school. like the other posts said they give you the equipment and their knowledge and its up to you to take it from there. They have recruiters come in during the course to do their thing, Swift , Werner etc.. yes of course they are the schools main employment choices but Carol who runs the job search part also has posts on her board for jobs.

All in all the school was great. Good equipment,plenty of time in the trucks and on the road, great instructors what more could a student ask for all in all well worth the investment.


I would like to also mention that they will stick with you as long as it takes for you to get your license and they stick by that.The only thing I could think of was taking my actual test, in Mass. it isnt the instructors or the Registry that test you it is the State troopers themselves that run you through it which was a little nerve wracking but the school does do its part in preparation for the test . I highly recommend it.

 

I was there last winter. Its a 480 hr course. Basically 240 in class and 240 "on the field". Weekend classes were 10 hrs Sat and Sunday, (Talk about killing weekends for 20 weeks) and 4 hrs on Wednesday if you were still in class or Thursday night if you were on the field. The day classes were 5 hrs M-Th, mornings 7-noon or afternoons 12:30-5:30 and 4 hour sessions on Fridays.

I believe, but not sure, they have an accelerated schedule on days if you go mornings and afternoons combined. They were really flexabel and had no problem if you wanted/needed to spend more time there. You had to be careful not to step on the toes of the people who were there during their class time.

They were a bunch of really good people and personally I couldn't have imagined anything better. Everyone was treated with respect. We had a few extreamly clueless people in our class and they kept working with them as much as they needed too. I could not believe the patience they displayed with some. Alot more than I think I could ever have mustered.

I go to the school now, and I'll tell you they do a great job.

 

That dog track is our main fuel point for our Army rigs..lol..nice and open,also i see those Parker trucks EVERYWHERE around the area.The drivers seem to do a pretty good job as well.

 

It says online, and in the book, that the only re-test on a conversion is for the hazmat endorsement

 

I'm a former student of NETTTS and graduated January 17th this year If you stay focused and keep your eyes on that piece of plastic they call a CDL license you should be fine I have no problem with NETTTS except for how they keep small details out of their sentences.
