I'm new here and you all have a more powerful knowledge base on the subject matter than I do, however I'm looking to drive for coke and wondering if they would pay for my trucking school and guarantee me a job making at least 45k a year. I'm 21 currently in GA with a clean driving record, looking to drive all over the country and looking to start ASAP. Or is it a better company out there to drive for than coke? Please reply at your earliest convenience. Or send info to my personal email theoneonce@gmail.com Thank-you

Tyson Foods would be much better. $55K-$60K per year and fast trucks @70mph. You need to complete a CDL school first for Tyson. That's easy in Georgia; community college CDL schools are cheap. Also the Hope Grant will pay for CDL school using lottery proceeds if you qualify.

If you must have a trucking company sponsored CDL school, you need to research and find those that hire at 21 yrs. old; try these:

Prime Inc. - does hire at 21
    Roehl Transport
Southern Refrigerated Transport - sends you through community college program and pays for hotel room in Clarion Hotel. Run coast-to-coast reefer outfit.

Millis Transfer - excellent school in Cartersville & runs Eastern half of USA.
    CRST - teams
    Midwest-Coast Transport - coast-to-coast reefer outfit.
Central Refrigerated Service - Conley, GA/ website says hire at 21. This company is now part of Swift so don't know if the age requirement has changed. Call and ask.

Note - don't show up to any school without all the paperwork exactly as they request or you will be sent home; no question about it. For example, if they want your Social Security Card, don't show up with a photocopy; take the original. Start studying now for the CDL permit; click on "CDL Practice Tests" at the top of this page.

Ok thank for very much but see here's the deal as far as school go, I graduated HS with Hope but used it all up, does Tyson offer programs to pay for school or do I need to do my own research? And what about swift?

Tyson has tuition reimbursement. Swift; you're too young, but maybe Central Refrigerated which is part of Swift now.

Schneider pays for private CDL school, but don't know the age requirement.

    Trainee
Tyson Foods accepts students from Tyson approved truck driving schools. Tyson Foods offers tuition reimbursements up to a certain amount, and once hired, you will train one on one with a Tyson certified driver trainer. This is a great opportunity to join the Tyson Foods team and start your career. Tyson Foods' entry level pay is among the best in the industry. Starting pay is .39 per mile after training.

Trainee package is $400 per week. Once trained, you'll fall into the normal pay package depending on experience, most of which are less than a year.

I think a lot of us would pick this, not many options to make 50k+ with one year experience and no college or heavy training needed. Most of the time you are your own boss, not many professions can give those perks.
