Hello my name is robert.
I am very adomant about going into the truck driving industry!
I know that it is a lone wolf lifestyle , with alot of hard work!
I am currently looking at schools in the southwest (calif/ariz)
i have some questions for everyone to please give me input on.
I have talked to drivers and an instructor (not from c.r. England)
that have all told me to go with c.r. England.
They say their ratio for instructors to students is great and they are fair
when you are learing and that their after school contract is great!!
My questions are:
1) can i go to school with no upfront cost?
2)am i gonna get the education and support i need? (driving, book work, logs and so on)
3) since i will be moving there do they supply housing?
4) i am engaged and we both know what i am getting into and we are both excited!
Which school/company will support me as a future husband? ( as far as family emergencies, birth , deaths in family, just stuff in general)
i am not just leaning to this school that is why i am asking for input from others before i make a lifelong decision !!
Thank you all for your input!!!

Rocky Mountain Truck Driving School, Albuquerque, NM. Ask them about the details, seriously good school. Remember, the school only prepares you for passing the CDL exam, but Rocky Mountain goes the extra mile, and you'll get information about driving and referrals to hiring companies.

Can you afford private school such as Rocky Mountain? If so, then go that route. You're getting married, so you need good paychecks; get all the endorsements which gives you more options for the better paying jobs. -
FFE academy in forth worth is a great school but u have to be a Texas resident. Out of state students are welcome, but you must possess a class A CDL. It's the only school I found that does not deduct payments from your pay or require any money up front. The school also doesn't require the student to sign a 1 yr contract. FFE calls their agreement a promissory note which is different from a contract. Signing a contract can prevent other carriers from hiring you if you don't fulfil the contract or pay it off. I was told this has been up held by the Supreme Court.

Southwest Truck Driver Training is a trucking school with locations in Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas.

Hi Robert, i went to HDS Truckdriving Institute and it was great! Their schools are in Tucson and Phoenix. They also own the carrier DWS, so they make sure you have a job, either you get hired by them right from the start, or they get you prehired somewhere else.

Trust me on this one but don't go with CRE. I went there and it's just a driver mill where they show you the bare minimum to get your CDL and have their own DMV examiners, so of course you pass.
