yes, I knew there was another. I was hoping to find others from my particular class, but I certainly don't want to make things confusing for people who are looking for information on our school. Just the opposite, in fact.

So I won't be offended if they merge my little thread into the bigger one.

THANX KC!!

Good Luck going to school! I went to JCC for my truck driver training back in 2005 and I look back at it as one of the best times of my life! Lucky you for going in the fall, I went in summer and it was HOT HOT HOT!!!! Be prepared to be on your feet a lot when doing the yard manuevers. They can be tough but if you pay attention you will get the knack for driving!

The school is only an introduction to driving. I graduated from JCC a year ago and found that I learned a lot more at school than many others who attended more expensive private schools. But within a week of actually being on the road, I got double clutching down just fine. The instructors at JCC are top shelf and do a great job. Yes, it's tough. But you'll find that driving is tough too. The Smith System works!

well sounds like the one i went to in bettendorf, ia. it was a 9 week course and it is now a 10 week course. it was a bit more than yours but not over $2000. i paid $1700 for being an out of state student. i lived 1 hour from there. and there was alot of skills practice. good to hear that you found a good training school to go to.
god luck on your future in the truck driving field.
