Passed state cdl road test and skill test today. Had my license in hand and driving solo all afternoon. I feel like I will be able to sharpen my skills very quickly. We still have nine days and and a couple of test left. Shouldn't be a problem. I have been very happy with my experience at the North Carolina Truck Driver Training School.

That is wonderful. I am so happy for you.

You have done quite well. Passing almost everything the first time is a rare thing. You did it though!

I think that you will be very happy with Howard Transportation. Good choice

Keep the stories coming.

Please start another Thread when you start work. I would like to hear how things are rolling w/ Howard Transportation and your experiences.

Thanks KinnaKeet for sharing your journey

Btw, I see you got your NC CDL the same day that you passed the road test LOL

Congrats on the CDL and avoiding the centralized licensing - I found one of the remaining counties that won't switch over until the end of the month myself and picked mine up yesterday. I think there were only two of us in our class that got the official and don't have to wait for Raleigh to mail it.

Good luck with the rest of your class time and see you out there

Tough week of school. Ten students failed to qualify on the ten speed transmission and had to drop out. We are now down to 25 from a original 38. Like I said before it is a tough course. When you graduate from here you definitely earned it. We still have four test remaining! Some of the students who failed out have already signed back up or have intentions to. I wish them the best. They all were a great bunch. I hope I eventually get to meet them on the road.

Eight weeks sound's like a long time. When it is all over with it seems like just yesterday. Class #523 at The North Carolina Truck Driver Training School at Johnston Community College graduated on Friday August 21st. We started out with 38 students and had a graduating class of 24. We were told from the beginning that this was going to be a tough class and I think those numbers say it all. I hope to stay in contact with my classmates, and have talked to several since Friday. We had some good laughs together. Some at my expense. Actually more than I care to think about.
We all agreed it was well worth it. The first hurdle is over with for us. And now the daunghting task of finding employment lies ahead. Several students have orientation with with some of the larger companys this week. Hopefully the economy will pick up and make finding a job easier.

Great job David!!!

I'm so glad for both of you.

This is the toughest program that I have ever seen.
Intense training, extensive equipment, knowledge and training from experienced instructors of the Oldest Truck Driver Training Program in the Nation.

Truly the Carolina's finest producing some of this country's best new drivers.

Have you chosen a company?
Please start a Thread when you start rolling.

Best to you David!!!
