Thumbs down Western Truck School - West Sacramento, CA

Do yourself a favor and find a different school to attend. You'll struggle to get drive time on one of the three ancient pieces of junk they call trucks. Even the DMV personell wonder how a school that makes soooo much money can attract students with trucks that are barely legal to drive on the streets.

The instructors are pretty good folks except for the one female that is there. She has so many piercings I think she must moonlight as a fishing lure. Plus she's young and obviously has not teaching experience at all, she's horrible and everyone complained about her.

The other real piece of work is the Master Instructor/manager. His name is Jeff and he'll be sure to tell you all the time how great he is...though he's got nothing on the remaining instructors whom I have nothing but good things to about them. They are what got me through and gave me some really good training despite the garbage that we drove. I commend them for even working there considering what they told me they get paid.

My advice would be to check out Western pacific truck school, I've seen their trucks and they are better than this place. Good luck and safe driving!

Yes I (916) did change my mind. But I'm not exactly sure where I'll be going . I'm checking out a few other schools, Watkins Shepard, Interstate Dist. I think has a school they recommend and CFI also has one. I'm in no big rush or bind where I have to do something immeadeatly. I have no problem putting out the money, I just want to get my moneys worth.

Well I sent off for a background check (Dac Report ? ) I'll find out if it's even on my record. I'm talking 30 years or so ago (????) Went through DacFix ( $27) And if I have something on my record they will deduct the 27 off the price to fix it. (???)

I think I would still go with a private school so you don't have to sign a contract with any one trucking company though. But that's me...

What a surprise, a DMV employee not having a clue. I don't remember what it is called, perhaps an H6?
