All State Career / Pittsburgh, PA After going to my first otr trucking co. for my training! I realized how much I learned in a 480 hour class (24 week school) vs. a quick four week school. I knew more than my trainer!!! I highly recommend this school. Feel free to ask me about this school if you are considering cdl training.

um, i beg to differ yeah, so i did attend ASC, and ill be honst, if you are intersted in attending this school, DONT, well, not in the Lester campus anyway. While i was there, it was horriable, our classroom instrutor did nothing but lie, yeah, he knew his stuff, but most of the time he lied, 2nd, the range instrutors......wait, what range instructors??? they were never around to be found, oh wait, yes they were, helping the people that were about to grad. no the new people to the range. some of the instrustors would even talk down to you as a student, yes, talk down, stuff like " maybe you should concider a new career" cause we couldnt make out manuver the correct way....oh wait, maybe thats because we were never tought by a teacher. or they would tell us, all of us as a group, " out of all of you ( about 40+/-) maybe 3 of you will succeed as trucker drivers" of you suck at this leave" or maybe you should just give up while your ahead" or " yeah, you should work as a driver, for you local pizza shop in a car" or " you suck at this and will never become anything in life" *******excuse me!!!!! are we not in SCHOOL, a LEARNING INSTATUTION TO ****** LEARN!?!?!?!?!?. i could be wrong, but i think it is school. our range, the ground, yeah forget about it, crap. 2 instructors for 40+/- how does that work?? we had to depend on other students to " teach " us, and hope that they themselvs knew what they were talking about..... i received my diploma, and ill tell you right now that i will never ever recomend that school to a dead rat on the range!!!! and if there happens to be any staff from this campus reading this, great, you no it too, speak up, or dont, but you will find out who this is. thanks

A.S.C. Pittsburgh Location I can't speak for Lester Location. Don't be so judgemental till you go to train for some of these companies. Like I said before I took the 24 week course. Dennis O'Nell, the Backing / Driving evening instructor was awsome! After A.S.C. I graduated from Werner's training. My first trainer only had 3 months driving experiance. I new more than he did when I got on that truck!!! I had two trainers. Both said there was no reason for me to do Werners on the road training. All I learner there was Highway driving, chaining tires and how to use the Qualcomm. I credit my city driving and backing to my schooling at A.S.C. If you take the A.S.C. 24 week course and go to a company like "Werner" or "Swift" and complete their training, then give us your thoughts on A.S.C. I was surprised what I learned, but I didn't realize it till I got out on the road. Like you said, If there are issues in any school, you must stand up as a student body and express those concerns while you are there. This is why were on this site. To express our Experiances with CDL Schools and Trucking Companies. Happy Trucking

engimed, i hear you on what you are saying, and yes, the students that came back all said they are thrilled that they went to A.S.C, cause of the extensive training, which is def. what we are getting from there. im saying that we dont get enough student to teacher teaching. theres 2 intructrs on the range, one of them works his ### off, helping the students that NEED it more then the otheres, which is awesom, but there are still students that need assistance from the teacher himself, not a nother student who is still learning themselvs. im glad i chose A.S.C over smith and salamone, or one of those other " 21 day wonders" or " cdl mills " cause we are learniung more. when i get hooked up with a company and navigate my way through there training, and down the rd further i will compare that vs my school. im willing to bet my schooling is better, but that also go's with what company i chose. i gotta run thanks again, happy truking to you as well.
