Schools.....

OK....besides training what good does a trucking school do for you?.....and it is offered to anyone over 18 but it's hard to get a job when you're under 21 so how does that work out?

As far as benefit from going to truck driving school, from what ive read on this forum the general consensus is that going to a cdl school is better because once your done you won't be locked in with one company for a certain time period to repay the cost of their training, you will have the option to go work for whom ever you want to apply with on your terms, plus most larger trucking companies offer tution reimbursement for approved schools. It looks good on your resume, that you went to a reputable school for training. You also may be making a little bit more straight out of the box. maybe someone else can add a little bit more...

Where are you looking to go to school.

As for your age most companies ive been looking at only recruit 23+

Sage in Muncie Indiana, I e-mailed them for more information still no reply might have to call, well The thing I haven't understood is they'll take you and train you if you're 18 or older but nobody is going to give you a job til you're 23+? i still haven't figured all that out yet.

you could always get you A license and drive class b vehicles or try to find a company that will recruit you, you may be able to find local companys to hire you i would think they would be as strick on the age.
